The acclaimed English actor Helen Mirren, currently winner of an Academy Award, several BAFTA honors, Globes trophies, five Emmys, plus a Tony, is poised to receive another major award to her trophy case: the Cecil B DeMille Golden Globe lifetime honor. Honors Presentation Mirren, eighty, formerly made a dame in 2003 and made a Bafta fellow in 2014, will accept the accolade in a ceremony January 8, three days before the main Golden Globes are held, within an event billed by the Golden Globes as the “Golden Eve”. Additionally featuring the awarding of the Golden Globes’ Carol Burnett award for television achievement, the recipient of which remains unannounced.
